Country Representative — Kenya

Africa Safaris is seeking a Country Representative to be our on-the-ground lead for Kenya. You will build local partnerships, ensure operational excellence, and drive sustainable commercial growth across the country.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local tour operators, suppliers, tourism boards and government stakeholders.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure partners meet Africa Safaris's quality and safety standards.
• Recruit, train and manage local teams including operations staff and guides.
• Drive commercial growth through partnerships, market development and local sales initiatives.
• Manage country-level budgets, P&L targets and financial reporting to regional leadership.
• Represent Africa Safaris at industry events and act as the primary liaison for local stakeholders.

Experience

• 5+ years in country-level operations, business development or country management — travel, tourism or hospitality experience preferred.
• Proven experience managing partners, suppliers and distributed field teams.
• Strong stakeholder management with both private and public sector contacts.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in local language(s) is an advantage.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Tourism, or equivalent experience.
• Valid right to work in Kenya and willingness to travel frequently within the country and region.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently in fast-moving environments.
